A1 rides users, including those who use our website
https://a1rides.com (“Website”), any A1 rides mobile applications and those who contact us by phone, email, written communication, social media, in-person, or through any other method of contact (collectively, “Services”) are subject to this policy. The parameters of this policy do not cover the handling of information with our employees, business associates, vendors, and subcontractors, but they do apply to our Drivers.
In this policy, the individuals that utilize our service are referred to as “Users.” Within these users, those who use the service to seek or receive transportation are referred to as “Riders,” while people who give those riders a ride are referred to as “Drivers. In accepting the Terms of Use, you agree to us dealing with your information in the way described in this policy.
Information collection
We gather three types of information: the information you submit, the information we automatically gather, and the information we obtain from other sources.
Information you submit
Name, contact, email, nationality, city, preferred language, and profile picture are all required for registration. We may gather emergency contact information as allowed or needed by law.
Driver information
We collect driver's license details, vehicle details i.e. (Type, color, year of manufacture, make, model, registration certificate data, Redigo, vehicle inspection report, and vehicle picture), Passport details, evidence of residency, address, date of birth, Australian business number, insurance details, work permission, driving history, and other information if required. We may carry out identification verification and/or a background check when allowed or mandated by law.
Location
We gather location information from Users to facilitate rides and to comply with legal obligations. Depending on your app settings, device permissions. and whether you are using the app as a Rider or a Driver.
User-generated information, such as remarks, rankings, and testimonials for other Users, that you choose to post over the Services.
Information contained in communications you submit to us, including emails, chat messages, and phone calls that you may record.
Information we automatically gather.
Drivers
When a driver goes online to start receiving rides from the platform, the system starts tracking his device location to provide ETA and distance to pick up address. The app is open or in the background, system tracks driver's device location to carry on rides business.
Riders
When you request a ride until it is completed, we track your device location both while the App is visible or running in the background.
Ride information
The system records the ride information such as Ride details, payment transaction information, date and time, the fare charged, route, and distance traveled.
Usage details
We gather information about how you use our app or website. Such information may include access times and dates, app features or pages accessed, app or website crashes, and other system activities may be included.
Device details
Your device's name, brand, and model, mobile carrier, IP address, network type, time zone setting, language setting, browser, operating system, and its version, screen specifications, and installed applications that can be used for authentication are all pieces of information we gather about the device you use to access the Services.
Third-Party Technologies, and Cookies
We gather information. Small text files known as cookies are stored on your device by online sites. The data we get from cookies enables us to enhance your app experience.
Communications details
Through the App, we make it possible for users to communicate with one another and with us. We get information on the date, time, and content of the messages to provide this service. We may also use your information to provide customer service, ensure user security, settle disputes between users, and enhance our services.
State authorities
For legal processes, as part of a law enforcement request, or as otherwise needed or permitted by law, we may get information on Users from law enforcement or other governmental bodies.
Other Users
We receive Information from users or others in connection with claims or disputes. If we could have legitimately obtained this information from you, we will only store and utilize it. We will take measures to tell you that we have obtained this information.
Device details
Third-party services. Service providers, including background check and identity verification companies, insurance partners, and financial services suppliers, may give us information on Users. Please review the privacy policies of third parties to see how they handle your information.
User data utilisation
We use the private data we collect.

- Depending on parameters like location and availability, pairing up Drivers and Riders.
- Calculating User ratings and deactivating users with poor performance.
- Identifying Users who have engaged in fraudulent, risky, or destructive behaviors.
- Calculate the estimated trip price based on distance traveled and time spent.
6. To enhance the app current features and products.
- Perform testing, analysis, research, and development to enhance your A1 Rides experience.
- Gather feedback concerning your app experience.
User data utilisation
How we disclose your information.
To make ride-booking possible, we provide specific information about Users. i.e. Rider Name, star rating, pick & drop-off address, fare breakup, and contact information are among the details that passengers share with the driver.
A driver's name, Picture, vehicle details, Driver location, ratings and reviews, the number of rides, and contact information are all shared with the rider.
We may also give Riders receipts and invoices with details such as pick and drop-off address, Trip distance and duration, fare breakdown, driver details, and vehicle information. If required by law, we may include additional information.
We shall share the information with other Users as needed for the delivery of services with their consent.
User data utilisation
Service providers.
We could share your personal information with our service providers, including:
- Processing of credit card payments.
- Police check.
- Insurance, cloud storage.
- Push notifications.
- Fraud protection.
- Google Maps.
- Consultants, lawyers, accountants, auditors, and other professional services.
Business transfer
In the event of a business transaction, such as a merger, reorganization, consolidation, or asset sale in which personal information is one of the transferred assets, we may transfer the personal data we have collected. We'll do everything in our power to make sure that whoever receives your information holds it securely and uses it in line with this privacy policy.

Edit profile

Sharing a location. You can stop your device from sharing location data but in this case, the driver or system can’t locate you and can’t pick you up from the pickup point.
Push notifications. You may choose not to receive push notifications, but it may stop getting alerts when your driver arrives for pickup.
Unsubscribe: - By utilizing the "unsubscribe" link you can choose not to receive marketing emails and SMS messages.
Managing cookies. You may change your cookie preferences. Depending on the device or kind of browser you use.
Deleting your account. You can delete your account or your data using the App's settings. In some cases, we will be unable to delete your account or may save and keep certain information to prevent fraud, comply with legal or regulatory obligations, or to manage any claims in relation to the Services. When we retain such data, we do so in ways designed to prevent its use for other purposes.

If you have any concerns regarding this policy, how we manage your information, or if you want to file a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, we will be delighted to respond. How we store your information
We retain the information we use to provide you with the Service. Due to legal or regulatory obligations, we may need to keep User information after an account is terminated. For instance, if your account has an unpaid bill, we will keep your information on file. We keep track of transactions and rides for as long as it takes to fulfill our tax requirements. We reserve the right to retain your information if you breach A1 Rides’ terms of service or other regulations for as long as is required to address the issue. We keep records so that we can react to any legal claims.
How we protect your information
To protect your personal information, we use reasonable and adequate technological, administrative, and physical security measures. These measures are relevant to the nature of the personal information at issue.
We continually assess our security precautions to consider newly developed technology and techniques. But neither online nor offline, there is no such thing as assured security. We do our best to ensure that the security of such data complies with this policy and all relevant laws and regulations, and we make reasonable steps in that direction.
General disclosures
Our Services are only for adults. Phone calls may be monitored or recorded as part of regular company operations as part of our user service assurance practice and will be utilized for training and quality control purposes.

Some third parties automatically gather information about you or your device. The manufacturers of mobile devices, mobile service providers, web browsers, and mobile device manufacturers are just a few examples of these third parties.
A1 Rides’ website and app may also link to our social media profiles and other third-party websites. We have no control over how other people use their personal information and we have no control over how they obtain, use, or disclose your personal data.
